A few weeks back, it was announced that Apple is going to launch a whole slate of Macs in October 2023.
But now the great number of Macs is getting smaller and smaller that is because a prominent analyst has put a final nail in the coffin of the idea that new iMacs are just around the corner.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the new 24-inch iMac launch has been delayed and will be launched in 2024. this delay upset the users and represented a delay compared to what we thought we knew previously.
It was announced or claimed by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman that the 13-inch MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the 24-inch iMac, all will get the M3 chip if is going to be happens in October. From that time, two MacBooks have been ruled out but little else has been said about the iMac.
The announcement has been made that the iMac launch has been delayed but until now they have not cleared the reason why the iMac has been delayed. Apple first launched the 24-inch iMac in the spring of 2021, and now people are getting the idea that maybe they are again going to launch the new iMac on that same date. That will be logical.
The claim made by the journalist about the M3 chip has yet to be cleared. And also in the event of Apple, there was not a word of it. Apple can easily launch the M3 in a 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac Mini this year but they have not done it yet. also, they did not even clarify to the users why they were doing it.
This year, there will be no Mac including the iMac. If we see M3 is the major step up over the M2, now maybe Apple wants to debut the chip in a much larger range of Macs at a showy event, that is why they are giving M3 plenty of airtime.
Kuo also enlightened another long-rumored, larger, higher-end iMac device. He believes this will come with a 32-inch mini LED display and will launch in 2025 not before. So even for this device users have to wait a long way.
When the iMac pro was discontinued in 2021, ever since it was speculated that Apple is working on a follow-up either branded as an iMac pro or simply as a larger iMac. Kuo just said that the product will use all kinds of expensive high-end mini LED tech. Gurman another expert believes that a larger iMac is coming whatever the date is but it is coming.
Now Apple is working on a 32-inch iMac it will be good news to anyone for whom the 24-inch iMac is a little too compact. With a larger display and mini LED, there is a possibility there there will be one of the best Macs to launch in coming years.
